Check that the software is installed in a directory that the Web server can see. This is usually under DocumentRoot (ex. c:/inepub) or any other virtual directory that the user has created. When you open IIS manager (Settings->Control Panel->Administration->IIS), you should be able to see these directories.

To make sure your scripts run, right click on the directory in which you installed Office. Click Properties; there should be a box in the first panel where you can specify the privilege of the directory. This should say Scripts and Executable as opposed to just Scripts. If so, you will be able to run the CGI script in that particular directory.

How to identify the IP address. (For Windows) On the server, go to Start => Program =gt; Command Prompt.

Please check the server host name or the IP address. If the IP address is not set up yet, please ask your network administrator.

If a DHCP server is being used (DHCP Enabled: Yes), you cannot use Office 4. Please use a static IP address. For more details, please ask your network administrator.

In Office 4, the directories including registered files are created under the install directory, which is selected during installation. You can save Office under the D drive if you select it in the installation process.

Follow these steps:

• Choose "D:\\cb4"(for example)" as the destination folder from Choose Destination Location during installation.
• After installation, set up a virtual directory on the web server.

For example: D:\\cb4

• Virtual directory/cybozu
• You cannot use /cb4 as the virtual directory name (alias).

Check if it runs properly.

• Access the following URL: http://(IP or host name of server)/cybozu/office.exe?
• Determine if "/cybozu" is an alias set up in the virtual directory of the web server.

If you install multiple Office products/applications in the same directory, please use the same version and the same number of users for all products/applications. However, the exact same application cannot be installed in the same directory, even with the same version and the same number of users.

If you use different versions or applications with a different number of users, please use different directories. In this situation, the applications installed in different directories cannot be synchronized or merged.

If you install archives of Cybozu Office Japanese version and English version in the same directory, the data may not be reflected to both properly. We do not support any troubleshooting caused by this situation. Please use separate install directories.

Save backup files. For safety, please save backup files. Refer to "backup" page.

Uninstall Office 4 applications you use.- Uninstall Cybozu applications through "Add/Remove Programs" in the "Control Panel." Registered data will not be deleted by this operation. *If you want to delete all registered data, please delete the install directory (usually "C:\InetPub\scripts\cb4) manually.

Download the latest version of Office 4. Please download the latest version of Cybozu applications.

Reinstall Office 4. The files you have in the old directory will not be deleted during uninstallation. If you reinstall Office 4 in the same directory, you can use the old data in the directory immediately.

Delete IIS or your current web server from "Add/Remove Programs" in "Control Panel."

Install the web server to which you want to transfer.

Access Office 4 after activating the new web server.

• For example, in Windows: http://( host name of the server)/scripts/cb4/office.exe?
• For example, in UNIX: http://(host name of the server)/cgi-bin/cb4/office.cgi?

If Office 4 still does not work properly, please follow the instructions below.

• Uninstall Office 4 (The data will be saved.)
• Install Office 4, referring to the web server's home directory and the directory in which scripts are used.
• Finally, copy all data from the old directory of Office 4 to a new directory.

Apparently, two versions of Cybozu Office 4 were installed on your machine. This duplication happens when a user installs one version, and then doesn't complete the install process. The user then tries reinstalling the program, which produces a second version.
